Alexa Integration

Learn how to use Alexa voice commands with Listee.

Important Note About Voice Commands

The Alexa skill is named My Task by Listee and its invocation name is my task. Always include "my task" when starting the skill:

• ✅ "Alexa, open my task"
• ✅ "Alexa, ask my task to add milk"
• ❌ "Alexa, open Listee"
• ❌ "Alexa, add milk to my list"

For Japanese, use the invocation name マイタスク (for example, "アレクサ、マイタスクを開いて"). Open the skill for your Alexa marketplace:

• United States — My Task by Listee
• 日本 — マイタスク by Listee

Setting Up Alexa Integration

Connecting Your Account

1. Create a Listee account and sign in
2. Open Alexa Integration Settings
3. Click "Link with Alexa"
4. Complete Amazon login:
   • Sign in to your Amazon account
   • Review permissions
   • Click "Allow" to grant access
5. Return to Listee to confirm successful connection

Selecting Categories

1. In the Alexa Integration section, find "Alexa Categories"
2. Choose which categories to enable:
   • Free plan: Select one category
   • Plus plan: Select multiple categories
3. Click "Save changes" to confirm your selection

Using Voice Commands

Quick Task Addition

To quickly add a single task:

• Say: "Alexa, ask my task to add [task name]"
• Example: "Alexa, ask my task to add milk"
• The task will be added and Alexa will end the session

Interactive Mode

For adding multiple tasks:

1. Start by saying: "Alexa, open my task"
2. After Alexa responds, say: "add [task name]"
3. Continue adding more tasks as needed
4. Say "stop" or "exit" when finished

Category Selection

• If you have one category enabled:
  • Tasks are automatically added to that category
• If you have multiple categories enabled (Plus plan):
  • Alexa will ask which category to use
  • Respond with the number of your chosen category

Best Practices

For Better Recognition

• Speak clearly and naturally
• Use simple, direct task names
• Wait for Alexa to acknowledge each command

• Check your selected categories in Listee settings
